Meltdown Your Books (M.Y.B.), author of Where Does A Body Begin? (2023) and Empires Over Skin (2025), was invited by PHACKER 2025, to give a lecture based on the infamous essay on Addison Rae penned by the anonymous author last year. The context was a bit odd, we all tuned into a random web stream that felt more like a pirate radio than a conference, only to find an on-going loop of Macintosh Plus. After what felt like an eternity staring at this blank screen, M.Y.B. “appeared”, delivered a sermon, and was gone. It was all very 1990, WinAmp-tier internet culture.
