“Pame Venetia” was a conference organized by Becoming Press, set in Venice, Italy. It brought together, for the first time, many of the authors who work with Becoming, for a series of 5 sessions spread out over 5 days, across 3 different sites, including our third collaboration with Open Secret.

Dates: 11–15th September 2025
Sites: bruno, The Cyprus Pavilion, & Casa Punto Croce

Session 1: Unconscious/TheorisingThursday 11th September, 16:00 – 19:00

Associazione Culturale Spiazzi, Calle del Pestrin 3865, 30122, Venezia

Dedicated to our 8th book, Unconscious/Television (2025), our first gathering brings together three theorists whose work revolves around the body, either in terms of biology and organic chemistry, neuroscience and sensory experience, or psychoanalysis and the unconscious(es).
After two unorthodox and enigmatic introductory monologues, we settle in for a special session from Lucas Ferraço Nassif which unravels the dualism of mind and body until it reveals itself to be a möbius strip.

Intermission: Open SecretSunday 14th September, 18:00 – 22:15
Casa Punto Croce, Santa Croce, Campiello delle Strope, Venezia

We have organised another edition of Open Secret, a touring audiovisual circus that hosts film screenings all around the world. There is always the temptation to categorize the films which Open Secret screens as “Internet Cinema”, in terms of their aesthetics and their inner-workings, although the term seems more like a beach ball than a philosophical category—absolutely love that.

Maybe the films are internet cinema, maybe the internet cinema is what Open Secret brings to town—or maybe, the real internet cinema is the friends you make along the way.

Wrapping up our conference is a session dedicated to Exocapitalism (2025), our 10th and most recent book, a milestone in our practice as a publishing house.
Marek Poliks and Roberto Alonso Trillo are two very unique theorists, and their podcast, Disintegrator, is being heralded as the leading home for discourse on artificial intelligence, contemporary philosophy and economic theory, and the internet.
